What I learnt that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy was all about creating. Creativity skills help students to become better problem solvers, communicators and collaborators. Give students something to do rather then something to learn.

What I learnt that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional is around using slides, mote, and screen castify as a way to present learning to my students and make learning rewindable.

What I learnt that could be used with my learners is the different functions on google slides/ google drawings has and how to use infographics as a more appealing way to share information to the viewer.

What I learnt that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life is how to create a youtube channel/ playlist on youtube.

2. Work flow

What I learnt that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy is around the concept of learning and using digital technology as an effective teaching tool to promote accelerated learning. One of the DFI goals is to support teachers to aquire fluency using the basic tools required for effective teaching, planning, assessment, and professional learning. 

Learning in our kura looks like one to one devices and all management, teaching, and admin staff have all completed the DFI course and in turn equipped with the basic tools required for effective teaching and learning. 

What I learnt that could improve my confidence, capability and workflow as a professional is around how to use google calenders to organise myself and my time more effectively. I learnt how to create a google meet using calendars, present tabs, whole screen and record my presentation/ google meet for rewindable learning. I also learnt how to organise my tabs more effectively - especially the pinning tabs function. I also learnt about the functions of google keeps and excited to start using this app in my professional and personal life. The ‘Grab text from the image’ option will differently be a time saver.
